Mission

Why a client council?

As a client council we talk and think along about Avres' participation policy in the municipalities of Vijfheerenlanden, Gorinchem and Molenlanden. We stand up for the general interest of residents who use the services of Avres; that is regulated by law! Affiliated municipalities In addition to clients of Avres, the client council also includes representatives of various interest groups from the affiliated municipalities: Municipality of Gorinchem Municipality of Vijfheerenlanden Municipality of Molenlanden

We look at what's important to you.

What are we doing.

The client council provides solicited and unsolicited advice to the Avres board on the participation policy. The client council is independent and acts from the client's point of view. The Avres Client Council is there to represent the interests of all Avres clients. Interests of all non-benefit recipients with a minimum income. The Client Council wants to make a real contribution to improving the position of people with a low income. In concrete terms, this means: ✓ Improving the arrangements for the minimum income ✓ Promoting a pleasant, correct client-oriented attitude of Avres ✓ Protection of the personal data of clients ✓ Providing clear information to clients ✓ Identifying bottlenecks and helping to resolve them ✓ Avres solicited and unsolicited advising ✓ Advising clients and possibly referring them to other bodies. The council meets every month and there is a consultation with the Avres management four times a year.
Themes for the client council Our aim is to contribute to the improvement of the (financial) position of people with a minimum income. Avres deals with various themes that promote this goal. As a client council, we are therefore involved in each of these themes. We look at the effectiveness of the working method for the themes below. Below you will find more information about the different themes.
Additional financial contributions
There is soon a lot of paperwork involved when applying for an extra financial contribution. Avres supports! Not everyone finds this easy. For example, do you have children and do you have to get by on a low income? View the extras for families with children here. >>
Work and Income Policy
Avres supports people in development to (re) find their place in society by means of suitable work or income support. >>
Reintegration processes
Back to work after (long-term) unemployment or illness? Then reintegration is the order of the day. Avres helps with this by means of various reintegration processes. >>
Debt servicing
When debts pile up and you can't get out, we are there! Avres looks at your debts and how you can deal with them. The service consists of three phases: precaution, trajectory, aftercare. >>
Special wellfare
Avres supports people with a low income, so that everyone can pay really necessary costs. >>
Contributions for sports, culture and education
With a low income, there is often no money left for the theater or a sports club for your children, for example. At Avres you can request a contribution for sports, culture and extra costs for school. This scheme is called the Regional Declaration Fund (RDF). >>
Arrangements for the chronically ill
Having a chronic illness or disability can incur additional costs. At Avres you can request a financial contribution that you can spend as you see fit. >>
Group health insurance
Group health insurance can save you a lot of money every month. VGZ has collective health insurance especially for people with a low income. You are well insured for an extra low premium. >>
Income allowance
If you have been on a low income for at least 3 years, you may be eligible for a supplement. The condition is that you have no prospect of a higher income. You are also younger than the state pension age. >>
Are you a client of Avres? For example, because you receive social assistance benefits under the Participation Act? Or perhaps you have debts or are you using minimum schemes? Then it is good to know that Avres has a client council that looks at what is important to you.
